What we do

We develop three forms of intelligence. Together, when they belong together.

What if nothing existed in isolation?

More than two centuries ago, the Prussian naturalist Alexander von Humboldt asked a question that changed how we understand the modern world: What if nothing existed in isolation?

At a time when mountains, rivers, forests, climate and people were studied separately, Humboldt revealed them as parts of the same living system - Earth - each continuously influencing the others.

We believe people, organizations and the places we shape deserve the same depth of attention: not simply to see what is connected, but to understand the patterns of those relationships and what they make possible, constrain or put at risk.

We ground our work by nurturing human intelligence aligned with living systems intelligence.

Three forms of intelligence

Systemic Interconnectedness

Places cannot be separated from the organizations that shape them. Organizations cannot be separated from the people within them. And our actions cannot be separated from how we perceive the world.

We help you develop purpose, leadership, capabilities, and community in ways that harness the unique potential of your living context. And then turn it into value and projects that make you and your system grow better and stronger together.

For clarity, we describe our work through three complementary forms of intelligence: Human, Organizational and Place Intelligence.

In practice, they are inseparable.

01

Place Intelligence

Being on the ground is geography. Being true to place is legacy.

A territory can be seen as a space drawn on a map. But it is also a living place: a continuous, co-evolving story of people and nature, with its own ecology, history, relationships and vocation.

When we understand place in this way a whole new world opens up, filled with creative opportunities that can be designed in harmony with what makes a place thrive.

We also see place as part of who we are. Caring for it becomes a natural reflex because looking after place is also looking after ourselves.

We help you develop place intelligence to uncover the latent potential of the places you inhabit or manage at the right time, before plans are drawn or investments are made.

We help your project thrive by helping the place flourish. We find that path with you.

  • “We’re receiving both support and resistance from stakeholders. We feel we’re missing something.”

02

Organizational Intelligence

Being efficient is performance. Being relevant is longevity.

In a living co-evolving world, an organization’s enduring success is inseparable from the vitality of the larger environment in which it operates. Its longevity depends on its ability to stay deeply connected to its systemic context, understanding the unique role it can play to support mutual flourishing.

When an organization strengthens the health and capacity of its key stakeholders seen as a value ecosystem — clients, collaborators, partners, communities, investors, and the Earth — it unveils new possibilities for business development. By solving for the whole rather than the parts, it discovers innovative pathways to create shared value for both the organization and its broader environment.

To realize this potential, internal coherence is essential. Aligning leadership, culture, and operations ensures your team moves as one, bridging the gap between daily actions and your larger contribution.

We help you unveil your organization’s essence and systemic purpose, and translate it into practice, turning organizational change into a powerful springboard for ongoing systemic impact and evolution.

  • “We see the value in ESG reporting, but how can we leverage it for transformative change?”
  • “We’re tired of ‘managing’ stakeholders. We want to build a network of partners that can co-create value and develop together.”

03

Human Intelligence

Knowledge can be shared. Capability must be cultivated.

Working in a way that regenerates life needs more than managing impact. It calls for a different way of seeing, thinking and acting.

Artificial Intelligence will not solve this for us. AI can process what’s already known. It cannot discern what’s worth knowing, doing, and who’s accountable. That’s still ours to grow.

Life-aligned work requires human intelligence that emerges from a whole-systems practice of dynamic and embodied thinking.

We support people and organizations to cultivate the capabilities and confidence needed for evolving their systems, while finding new sources of vitality and meaning in their work.

Who we typically work with:

Leaders, Executive teams, Project managers, Professional Networks and Communities, Educators, Changemakers, Consultants, Intrapreneurs, Individuals.

Our engagements include:

Conversations that often bring us together
  • “We don’t want more tools. We want to be more effective.”
  • “Our team is constantly reacting to problems and putting out fires. We need to respond differently.”
  • “We are exhausted by the complexity of our times. We need a way of thinking that brings meaning and energy back.”
  • “I want to do regeneration, but I don’t know how to do it in practice.”

There is a moment when the parts stop adding up — when the problem in front of you is really a pattern you haven’t been able to see. That’s when a different kind of intelligence has to take over.
