FIBS (Finnish Business & Society)

Surfacing potential for a new competence center.

Organizational Intelligence
The brief was a dream come true: help Scandinavia’s largest corporate responsibility network shape the strategy for a learning center for regenerative business.

FIBS is the largest corporate responsibility network in the Nordic countries. In 2025, they updated their corporate strategy, which included the establishment of a new competence center for sustainable transformation and regenerative business.

Together with Béatrice Ungard at Regenesis we were invited to support FIBS in developing a strategy for this new learning center through a regenerative development process. We worked with a core team online by diving deeper into the organization, its systemic context and its members first, before focusing on the center itself.

As the core team engaged in structured dialogue with each other and also with other colleagues, they gained deeper insight and clarity into who FIBS is, the interplay between their core beliefs about a healthy society and planet and the specifics about their business environment and membership, and the implications in terms of strategic positioning.

What stood out for us from this engagement was how FIBS can play a unique systemic role for its members, so that collectively they can engage in a whole-system organizational change towards a more sustainable Finland and beyond. From this enlarged role, FIBS can gain new perspective and potential to identify the nature of the new center’s offerings to members but also of its other activities.
